I am not the first to make this amazing treat.
However, I was standing in the cereal isle of the local grocery store, looking at the plethora of varieties and thinking – “which will pair well with a marshmallow binder like crispy rice cereal. ” I had eaten Fruity Pebble treats and just the week before experimented by make a a version with Captain Crunch Oop! All Berries, which was good, but I wanted better.
That’s when I saw the Golden Grahams.
Graham crackers and Marshmallows. That works. Add Chocolate – S’mores!!!
That’s how this came about – and I’m glad to have a version of my own.
Ingredients
- 4 Tbs Butter
- 1 bag (10 oz) Mini Marshmallows
- 4 Tbs Vanilla Extract
- 1 Bag (11 oz) Milk Chocolate Chips
- 6 C Golden Grahams
Step 1
Melt
In a large pot over medium heat melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted, then add vanilla extract, five to six minutes.
Step 2
Mix
Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and Golden Grahams, mix until well combined.
Step 3
Spread and Cool
Pour mixture into a prepared 9 x 13 pan, spread evenly. Let cool completely, cut into bars, then serve.
