Pizzagna: lasagna made with pizza toppings

What do you get when you stack three bacon, sausage and pepperoni pizzas on top of each other and replace the bread with pasta? – The meat lover’s pizzagna.

If you love pizza and lasagna, this is the dish for you.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (9 oz) oven-ready lasagna
  • 1½ cups pizza sauce
  • 1½ cups mozarella cheese shredded
  • 1 pound Italian sausage cooked, crumbled
  • ½ pound bacon cooked, crumbled
  • 5 ounces pepperoni

Layer ingredients

In a prepared 9×13 baking pan, put down a layer of lasagna sheets, then completely cover with a half cup of pizza sauce. Sprinkle a little cheese over the sauce, then add pepperoni, sausage and bacon. Sprinkle with more cheese. Repeat the process two more times using the remaining ingredients.

Bake

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake five minutes more. Remove from oven and let rest 15 to 20 minutes. Slice into squares and then serve.
