Deluxe Crispy Rice Treats

No Christmas desert tray was complete in my Mom’s kitchen without the classic “Rice Krispies Treats”. It occurred to me recently that in all my years of cooking I had never actually made a batch of my own. The time has come – I begin my holiday treat extravaganza with “Crispy Rice Treats” of my own. (The name “Rice Krispies Treats” is trademarked and legally protected)

This recipe features a simple and yummy twist of my own – Premier White Morsels – they melt right in and give this treat a pop of vanilla and a shot of sugary richness that makes you smack your gums.

Behind this Bite

I’m starting to spend more and more time working on this site – it’s a complete renovation of my old one. As of this moment (11/30/23) – I have not done any promotion for this new site .

It’s coming though …

The content here is a solid foundation and right now, I’m doing the equivalent of building a new house on of top of an old one – with new ways to enter and new rooms to explore. Going forward, the content will also be shaped and focused differently – to foster a new look and digital presentation. I’m not sure exactly where it will lead but I’m just going to allow the form to follow the function and see what happens.

I think the only clicks my site is registering right now are my own as I edit and shape it. If you come across this, it’s likely you were clicking around after being brought here for by another post or reason. Say “hi” in the comments if you’re so compelled. In the internet world – a user’s mark is much more valuable than an artist signature.

Eat well, cook often …
